A MOVEMENT AGAINST CHILD NEGLECT
The idea of MY FOUNDATION emerged nine years ago where Remee S. Jackman and Mathilde Gøhler as goodwill ambassadors for the SOS Children’s Villages, visited the village community Buru Buru in Kenya and Nairobi’s Kibera area – which is Africa’s largest urban slum. Experiencing the extreme poverty and heartbreaking conditions for the orphans in the slum compared to the life of the kids living in alternative care in the SOS village community Buru Buru was a game changer for them.
MY FOUNDATION
MY FOUNDATION is a unique charity concept that enables businesses and philanthropists to support a particular village community or SOS project directly while also channeling the support of their own network through fundraising. Through your partnership you help support the operation of a specific project or a village community and also have the opportunity to earmark your support to selected projects, that alignes with the values and passions of you or your company.

In 138 countries and territories SOS Children’s Villages is there, working with children, young people and families to tackle this global issue on a local level.
The organisation work to keep families together, provide alternative care when needed, support young people on their path to independence, and advocate for the rights of children.
